The Staypuff Marshmallow Man is one of the many monsters rumored, tongue in cheek, to be the monster in J.J. Abrams Mysterious Terrifying Monster Movie.
The latest news is that the untitled J.J. Abrams Monstrous Movie not named Cloverfield to be released on 1-18-08 is that it will be about a small group of people fleeing for their lives from small monsters and not just one giant whale of a monster. This story is told on Dread Central and seems as likely to be true as any of the other rumors floating around. As one of the many people who got motion sickness watching Blair Witch, I am hoping that this film will not be solid handheld people running around in circles.
On the Slusho front the Happy talk seems to be more silly things from visitors to the site, with a lot of talk about whales. On the history page if you put your cursor over the characters a thought balloon pops up. The horse is thinking about an oven mitt, the little squid is thinking about a hammer and the larger fish is thinking about a wedge of cheese. I don’t know if that is new, or if I just didn’t notice before.
1-18-08 site has no new photos and just seems to be sitting there doing nothing. With the end of principal filming there is not much going on now. If there is to be any news we will have to hope for some CGI frames to be leaked. Which should be happening any day now.
