The Dallas Cowboys-Just Another Football Team

You know, I kind of miss Terrel Owens. I know he was past his prime and he is going downhill fast, but at least he was someone Coach Cupcake and Tony Romo could blame when the Dallas Cowboys just threw up their skirts and ran like they did in Denver. But we don’t have T.O. to kick around any more-so we’ll have to move on to Tony Romo.
Tony Romo rode the bench for his first few seasons in Dallas, maybe he should have just stayed there. Romo completed 14 of 18 passes in the first half, he missed on 13 of 24 in the second. Tony had one interception and no touchdowns.
Dallas’s 17-10 loss in Denver saw a passing attack that showed no ability to stretch the field as it did a month ago at Tampa. Tony Romo’s longest pass was a catch-and-run by little-used Sam Hurd for 53 yards on the Cowboys’ final, desperation drive. It was exciting there at the end, but Tony Romo is not Roger Staubach or Payton Manning and there was no last minute win.
Without Terrell Owns and Jessica Simpson, I’m not sure who Tony Romo will blame for this lose. Of course, it’s a team sport and the whole team lost this game, not just Romo.
In the end, all the blame goes straight to the top and the man who fired both Tom Landry and Jimmy Johnson-good boy Jerry Jones. So long as Jerry Jones is here the Dallas Cowboys are cursed. So long as Jerry Jones calls all the plays and makes all the decisions, the Dallas Cowboys are doomed to failure.
