The New Technorati

Technorati has a new look and feel to it-though everything is still green and it looks mostly as it did last time I paid any attention to it. Well, except for one thing-Blogs relating to “http://www.ifyouwriteit.com/” (0 blogs found out of 825402) -the Big Blogs have Authority in the thousands.

Technorati is like all the other blog toys out there, you use it or you loose it. I was never a hotshot on Technorati, but I did have an authority of something like 10 or 20 or something at one point. I used to pay attention to the Technorati hot topics and would blog about Ron Paul and his impossible dream of being President one day. For some reason Technorati loved Ron Paul.

The big deal was to get into the Technorati Top 100 Blogs-which there now seems to be several new channels of Top 100 blogs. There is also more to Technorati than just blogs. They even have a little tab that asks if you would like to write for Technorati-well, who wouldn’t want to write for Technorati?

Technorati has it’s own ad network and seems to be one of those good people that will auto-Tweet your blog posts. Well, I like the look of Twittorati, it’s basically Twitter with sidebars, or maybe it’s better to call it a Twitter Aggregator. Twitter with ads, yeah, that’s what we’ve all been waiting for.

Technorati is a fun site, a social network for geeks and nerds and bloggers of all sorts. Technorati started out just keeping track of Links, the more links the better, first day of SEO class stuff. Now Technorati has expanded to a more for profit based model.

Maybe I will have to give Technorati a little bit of time once in a while. It won’t be too long before Ron Paul is running for President again.
