AshleyMadison.com and Katie Holmes

AshleyMadison.com is the place to go if your looking for an easy extramarital affair. It’s a hookup site for married people. What a nice idea, huh?
So AshleyMadison.com has now offered Katie Holmes a free lifetime membership. After all, Katie Holmes is married to that little twerp Tom Cruise, she must need some help in the bedroom, right?
TMZ.com reports that AshleyMadison.com, an online dating service for married people, has offered the third Mrs. Cruise a free lifetime membership — so she can seek out a “meaningful relationship” and “fill her lonely bed.” Sometimes, a gal needs more than a battery-operated buddy! The site offers complete anonymity to all its members, and claims to have enrolled over 1.4 million wannabe cheaters — including some of Hollywood’s A-listers!
The idea that Katie Holmes would need to use a professional service to find someone besides Tom Cruise to help her while away the hours is kind of funny. AshleyMadison.com’s plan to get some attention has worked, at least for a little while, as it has landed the Number Two Spot on Google Trends this morning.
AshleyMadison.com has a bit of a billboard controversy going in Hollywood. At La Brea and La Cienega Boulevard in Hollywood, a small group is protesting a billboard. It is for AshleyMadison.com. The Canadian-based company has branched into the U.S. The pitch on their Web site says: “When monogamy becomes monotony.”
The protesters hope you never get to the Web site. They want this billboard taken down. They say it promotes marital infidelity. Well, Duh. You Think? AshleyMadison.com is taking the moral low ground.
“We feel in our hearts, minds and pocketbooks that people who are going to stray are going to do it anyway, no matter what, with or without us,” said Darren Morgenstern, founder of AshleyMadison.com.
The protesters say they have had some success with their complaints over AshleyMadison.com. There was another billboard a short time ago up at La Cienega and San Vicente. They claim that their protest and comments had that billboard removed. They’re hoping what they are doing now will have the same result and have this billboard taken down.
“You can’t possibly convince somebody to act outside their moral code if that’s just not what they are looking for,” said Morgenstern.
