It’s so just a job

I don’t know what I expected, but the new job, new as in less than a year old, is much like all my other jobs. I am good at the job, not that taking portraits is exactly rocket science, but it does take a bit of practice to get it right. I am fast and have a bit of fun and I am making more money than I have ever made before. And yet, that doesn’t really matter as much as I had hoped it would. It’s not the destination. . .

For the last ten years or so I have been traveling around Texas, and a good deal of the rest of the country. But mainly Texas. As with anything familiar, it has lost much of its interest for me. It is a big state and there are a lot of cool things to see and do. And yet I seem to end up in the places which, are well, not so cool.
