I took to driving pretty late in life, I was in my twenties before I gave up my bicycle and sat behind the steering wheel. But now, the idea of watching the world zip by at 70 miles an hour is not as appealing as it once was. I like to get out and walk once in a while. The Full Irish Breakfast

A Full Irish Breakfast is very hearty and delicious. It can often sustain you the whole day. This meal usually consists of eggs, rashers (bacon), bangers (sausage), baked fresh tomatoes, fresh mushrooms, white pudding, black pudding, fresh fruit, brown bread, or toast, or scones, with a bit of butter and marmalade. Add a bit of juice, a pot of tea or freshly brewed coffee with cream and a bit of brown sugar and you truly have a meal. Ireland-Stone Walls and Thatched Roofs

Just a few thoughts about Thatched Roofs and Stone Walls, two things that seem to be ever present in rural Ireland. The stone walls make sense, as Ireland is a land of stones. But the thatch, where does that come from? Ireland in stone and straw. These are lovely things to see, but not so lovely to build.
