Cloverfield 1-18-08

After all the months, and all the blogs, and all the rumors, there was virtually no chance that this was going to be a great movie. But it was still a pretty good movie. It was a monster movie. Easily the best part of the showing was the preview for Star Trek with the Starship Enterprise Under Construction. The gimmick in Cloverfield-what if we told the story of the people being stepped on by Godzilla instead of the army trying to kill it? The monster was really irrelevant, it was a side note. The Monster is just one more random…

The Slusho Ad

“Kittens love Slusho! It reminds them of mother’s milk!” grinned Smiler! Mayu.-Tagruato Headlines It seems that most of the news on the Cloverfield, Slusho, Monstrous, J J Ambram’s Monster Movie is winding down. It is only a few week until the film hits the big screen and there seems little else to say. But there have been a few new things since last time I talked about Slusho and Cloverfield, so here goes. The very strange video appeared on the Slusho website, though I could only get the sound to work on my system. But there it was on YouTube in…

Cloverfield Trailer Part 2, 1-18-08, and Slusho

It appears that in the new trailer, J.J. Abrams unnamed film, code named Cloverfield, Slusho, Cheese, Monstrous, Terrifying, Cloveleaf, Furious, to be released on 1-18-08 is in fact going to be called– Cloverfield. The first and the most boring of all the names that have been floating around all these months. But that’s alright, at least we have a new trailer to look at. I like the fact that Lady Liberty is missing an arm as well as her head now. I like the bit at the start of the trailer where it says ‘the area formerly known as Central…

Slusho 1-18-08 and Jamie and Teddy

It’s been a long dry spell on the 1-18-08, slusho, monstrous, overnight, terrifying, cloveleaf, project clover field, cheese front, but there seems to be some news now from the MySpace side. There is a website called Jamie and Teddy that seems to be related to the unnamed Monstrous Movie by J J Abrams. There is a photo of a couple of teddy bears and clicking on the photo takes you to a login page.jllovesth gets you into the site where you can view a video of Jamie, one of our heroes, talking to Robbie. There is a funny bit where she warns…

1-18-08 J J Abrams Slusho Recent Events

The Staypuff Marshmallow Man is one of the many monsters rumored, tongue in cheek, to be the monster in J.J. Abrams Mysterious Terrifying Monster Movie. The latest news is that the untitled J.J. Abrams Monstrous Movie not named Cloverfield to be released on 1-18-08 is that it will be about a small group of people fleeing for their lives from small monsters and not just one giant whale of a monster. This story is told on Dread Central and seems as likely to be true as any of the other rumors floating around. As one of the many people who…

1-18-08, Slusho, Monstrous and now Cheese

The Vulture has what appears to be the call sheet for the last day of principal shooting for J J Abram’s still untitled monster movie, which is not titled: Slusho, Monstrous, Cloverleaf, Cloverfield, Parasite, or Cheese. The jury is still out on The Beast and Overnight and one persistent commenter that believes it will be UltraMan.This call sheet seems to give away the ending, but it may not. It is a very rare film that is shot in order. The last day of shooting just means the last day of shooting. I have not been impressed with the two or…

Slusho 1-18-08 MySpace and 4 Posters

The other two posters are the same, except one says Monstrous and the other has no title at all. So we are back to square one without a title for J J Abram’s film to be released on 1-18-08. Someone left a comment on my last Slusho post that the film will be called The Beast or The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms, making it a remake of the famous Ray Bradbury and Ray Harryhausen rubber monster movie. Hmm, another remake.According to 1-18-08 blog these are people that seem to have something to do with the film on Myspace. I’m not…
