Cowboys Beat Eagles 41-37

Monday Night Footfall has not been the same since it left ABC. The Happy-Go-Lucky lot at ESPN is always a little too giddy for my taste. The Dallas Cowboys beating the Philadelphia Eagles was a great game, I didn’t need to bozos in the booth telling me every five seconds-Wow, this is a great game. Terrell Owens caught two touchdown passes and moved past Chris Carter on the NFL all-time list for touchdown receptions. T.O. now has 132 TDs and is a mere 65 touchdowns away all time touchdown leader Jerry Rice. Tony Romo had another 300 plus yard game…

Bret Favre a New York Jet

“I am looking forward to seeing Brett Favre in a New York Jets uniform,” -Jets chairman and CEO Woody Johnson There are two banner ads on The New York Jets website advertising Bret Favre Jets Jerseys. The New York Jets don’t want to waste anytime, and who can blame them? Bret Favre may change his mind at any moment and re-retire. It’s hard not to think of other great, and not so great, players that never seem to know when to quit. I understand Brett Favre’s feelings though, the desire to play until they have to pry the football from…

Nike Football Commercial

I love this commercial. Like so many great commercials, this is one that could be for almost anything, but happens to be for Nike Footwear. NFL Football is a tough sport, but it is not usually much of an endurance sports. Nike makes it feel like an endurance sport here. Marathon running and Tour Cycling are activities that last for hours on end and test an athlete to their limits. An average play in a National Football League game lasts a matter of seconds. They may be hard seconds with some massive men pounding you like a hit and run…

Micheal Vick The Hits Keep Coming

Two of Michael Vick’s pitbull dog fighting buddies have accepted plea bargains and admitted guilt in being involved in illegal dogfighting and various and sundry acts having to do with killing the losing dogs. Vick is barred from training camp by the NFL and his trail is scheduled for Nov. 26. There has been a lot of talk about banning Vick for life from the National Football League under the personal conduct rules. A lifetime ban seems a bit harsh, but 42% of the people who have taken my little survey don’t care if Vick gets a fair trail or…

Michael Vick Chew Toy Take a Bite outta Mike

The latest bit of silliness around the very serious business of Micheal Vick is the Micheal Vick Dog Toy. Dogs get a chance to get even. This is not an NFL licensed product, more of a gag. It does sort of look like Micheal Vick and he is wearing sort of an NFL Atlanta Falcons jersey. It’s a cute idea to have dogs take a bite out Vick, but that toy doesn’t look very safe to me. Too many little parts that might cause choking if you actually gave it to a dog to chew on.In case you’ve living under…

Micheal Vick and Dog Fighting

Millionaire Atlanta Falcon’s quaterback Micheal Vick has been indicted for his part in a dogfighting ring. This story has all the elements we have come to expect from Professional Athletes. I want to say something like- You can take the thug out of the hood, but you can’t take the hood out of the thug. But that might sound a bit racist. Instead image how huge this story would be if it were Mr Wonderful Beckham who was accused of killing dogs in his spare time? This is a level of evil, vile, and wrong behavior that goes why beyond…
