Cowboys Win Season Opener 28-10

The Dallas Cowboys played like the Cleveland Browns weren’t even on the filed. Terrell Owens caught a 35-yard touchdown pass and had his usual almost-a-catch. Tony Romo completing 24 of 32 passes for 320 yards setting the pace to break the club record-again-for most 300 plus yard games in a season. Marion Barber scored two touchdown runs. The Dallas Cowboys have taken the first step toward winning The Super Bowl.

After winning 13 games last season and continuing another Dallas Cowboys Record of losing in the Playoffs, all of us in Dallas are happy about the win, but cautious about the Super Bowl. The NFL Dallas Cowboys should win, they have the most Pro Bowl players last year with 13 and all of them are back for this season. They can have a 16-0 record in the regular season and it won’t matter if they lose in the Playoffs again.

T.O. got a 15 yard penalty for doing his imitation of Track Star after his touchdown. One of those silly NFL rules that try to make people take The Game more seriously. Please.

Pacman Jones played in place of an injured Terence Newman and seemed to play OK, with the exception of a couple of penalties. Marion Barber was injured and had to leave the game, seems he was jinxed by Joe Buck talking about how tough he was and how ran into tacklers. Hopefully he will be ok, though the rookie Felix Jones did a fine job in closing minutes of the game.

The rest of Dallas Cowboys schedule looks like the usual handful of good teams and not so good teams. It’s always the not so good teams that The Dallas Cowboys have to watch out for. They are always ready for the good teams and never expect anything from the bad ones. Most of the time this is a good plan, but sometimes they end up losing in a shocker. It should be a good season for the Dallas Cowboys Football Team. I’ll be watching to see how far they go this season.
