Lip Balms You Can’t Have Too Many.

Badger Balms was one of those companies that I found while traveling around the country a few years ago. They have all kinds of creamy products that are made to help your chapped lips, dry hands, sore muscles, and well, just about everything. I like the feel of the small round tins and wide assortment of flavors their lip balms come in. I find my Badger Balm locally at Whole Foods Markets, but they seem pretty common now.

A quick look at Amazon shows a list of 489 Lip Balms. Bath and Body Works has a wide range of lip balms as well. Burt’s Bees has a great line of bee wax items, I like Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm. ChapStick is still a good brand, though it lacks the glamor of the newer products. But even the tried and true ChapStick has a 100% Naturals Botanical Medley Lip Balm that comes in a pretty box.

But my all time favorite lip balm has to be Carmex. And once again, the plain old boring, but damnit, it works Carmex has jumped on the bandwagon of odd flavors and colors as well. I guess they can make new stuff if they want to, so long as they don’t mess around with the old stuff. Is lip balm addictive? They say it isn’t addictive on their website, then why do I feel the need to have one of those little tubs close at had all the time?

Lip Balms have always attracted a certain amount of silliness. When I was in school Dr Pepper and Coke flavored lip balms were all the rage. Now we have Ben & Jerry’s Lip Balm, which is kind of silly sounding, but might be good. Crazy Rumors has a nice set of coffee lip balms. There was some Absinthe Lip Balm on eBay, though I am not sure that is a good idea. Right up there with the Jalapeño Lip Balm.

Maybe we should just stick with the Blistex.
