The First 20 Hours

I remember being greatly impressed when I read Outliers: The Story of Successby Malcol Gladwell.  It was a cool book that talked about the Beatles and Bill Gates and how they managed to take over their world by being in the right place at the right time-and by practicing for 10,000 hours. Double Fantasy by John Lennon and Yoko Ono

While doing a bit of ritual cleaning I came across a stack of old LPs.  Double Fantasy was among them.  This is one of a handful of albums I bought new when it came out.  I was never as big a music fan as I could have been.  Oh, I love music, but I tend to love it after it’s been around for a while.  For example, I was really into the Beatles when John Lennon was murdered. These unknown albums would often have the usual tracks of an LP I was familiar with, but with new cover art. Once in a while they had songs I had never heard of either. These, of course, were bootleg albums-records cranked out by companies that didn’t have the rights to release them…
