Another Earth

Another low budget sort-of-science-fiction film with a lot of art house appeal.  Another Earth is about a woman who is in a car crash and crippled with guilt over her irresponsible actions. Empty the Movie

Empty is a sort of post apocalyptic story, if you can call going one week without gas a post apocalyptic event.  Yes, this movie tells the tale of a world without gasoline-thus all gas tanks are Empty and anarchy reins. Monsters-A Classic Non-Action Movie

Ultra low budget film about an alternate Earth where NASA accidentally brings a race of giant octopus to Mexico.  The film opens with a couple of Humvees rolling into battle with a land walking octopus which appears to be several stories tall.   The soldiers spend a lot of time fire machine guns at the monster, which only serve to annoy the tentacle waving beastie.  They then call in Air Support and as the bombs drop we lose the picture and shift scene to. . . A bored photographer and a spoiled little rich girl with an injured arm.  For the…

As for Plan Nine, well, it was a super low budget movie and well, just silly. But Peter Jackson’s King Kong wins the crown as the Worst Movie Ever because it did cost so much, starred real actors, was directed by someone who should have known better and put…
