Hope Springs

You’d think that knowing I have a couple of months off every year that I’d be able to make a few plans.  Maybe go on a trip somewhere.  Maybe bang out a couple more chapters on that never ending novel.  Maybe go out and take a few pictures of this or that and tweak them in Photoshop and Lightroom.  Maybe do a bit of marketing and see about getting some Clients so I won’t have to bother going back to work. NNNNN by Carl Reiner

Carl Reiner will always be Alan Brady to me, the man who made Robert Petrie’s life so difficult on the Dick Van Dyke Show.  The fact that Carl Reiner’s glory days were about fifty  years before he wrote NNNNN gives hope to all of us poor schmucks who still want to be novelists one of these days. NNNNN is possibly the worst title ever given to a book, though Carl seems to think it ranks up their with M.  To me it was too much like a Marx Brothers routine, you left out an N-and the most important one, too!…

That Was The Year That Was

This was the year that my blog got hacked and I got a bit discouraged about the whole thing.  I went from around 3,500 visitors in February to a low of about 10 visitors in April.  I have since leveled out at about 1,500 visitors a month.  I have found myself less interested in a number of things, and am blogging a bit less as a result. Most of my random visitors are looking for pictures.  My most popular Google image search terms are related to Burger King, Mountain Dew Throwback, and House on Vicodin.  My most popular posts are one about Team Name…
