Ready Player Two by Ernest Cline

Ready Player One was a near perfect book for me. Ready Player Two, not so much. Ready Player One was filled with all the nerdy nonsense that I loved when I was growing up. It was set in a world much like our own,  but a few years down the road. The tech that made the books’ virtual reality work, was not that far off from the tech of today. Virtual Reality has been popular in science fiction for some time. The real world stuff, the MetaVerse type stuff, has never lived up to the worlds imagined in stories like…

Homeland on Showtime

There are some shows that should only be one season.  Heroes and Prison Break would have made pretty good one season shows, as they quickly lost their way after the first season.  Damian Lewis had his own short lives series, Life, which should have been left off at one season. The first season of Homeland had a lot of promise.  A forgotten POW is found in a locked room after being held hostage for eight years, but is he a hero or a villain?  That’s the big question our hero, an ambitious CIA agent, has to answer. We are shown…

True Blood-They Are All Monsters

Season 3 of True Blood wraps up with a few finial twists and turns that show us that the Good Guys aren’t so good.  Our hero vampire Bill took a number steps this season that showed he was more evil than we thought.  His casual betrayals pop up throughout the season, with his constant backstabbing causing a rift in his relationship with Sookie. Our good old boy bartender Sam turns out to be more of a cold blooded killer and less of a poor misunderstood shapeshifter.  Sookie takes the time to torture an evil vampire and takes great pleasure in…
