I used to be a big fan of Cartoon Networks Space Ghost Coast to Coast. The sad truth is I liked the actual Space Ghost when I was a kid. My favorite Space Ghost Coast to Coast was the one where he kept eating the guests. They just don’t write them like that any more.
My favorite character ended up being Brak, the world’s stupidest cartoon character. Brak was the kind of person that would play 52 Pickup, time after time. In one episode the evil praying mantis Zorak told him to run away, and to keep running away. Brak answered that he could run a really long ways.
Brak got his own show at some point and I happen to see The Brak Show the other night. It was about a time when Brak needed to feed a neighbor’s goldfish while he was busy conquering the world. The neighbor, Thunderhceesse, told him to feed the goldfish fish food, but whatever he did, don’t feed him three hams-three hams will certainly kill him.
There was then a little song about Three Hams Will Kill Him and so, of course, Brak feeds the goldfish three hams and kills him. This has turned into an earworm for me. Three hams will kill him. Three hams will kill him. This is the kind of comedy that is so stupid that it’s stupid. I didn’t watch the whole show-there is only so much of this kind of stuff I can take at one time.
But there is something interesting about the idea of feeding three hams to a gold fish.
