Walk Like A Camel

I heard this song on NPR one night and I really fell in love with it. Southern Culture on The Skids singing about Little Debbie Snack Cakes and Walking like a Camel. To say that this song makes no sense would be an understatement. But hey, since when does a song with a twangy guitar have to make any sense?
Countrypolitan Favorites is the most recent Southern Culture on The Skids CD and features a lot of classic rock-a-billy songs done with a modern flare. This is great stuff. It’s Duane Eddy meets The B-52s.
The Swag Shack on Southern Culture on the Skids website has all kinds of cool and silly stuff. Posters, t-shirts, and whatnots like a key chain.
Since they are a rock band, well, sort of anyway, they have a Myspace page promoting the group. That was what Myspace started off as right, a place for bands and their groupies? Anyway, it has a few cute links and photos of this and that. This is really fun music.
Southern Culture on the Skids should do a cover album of Johnny Horton greatest hits. Maybe I’ll leave them a note on their Myspace page.
