Macho Wigs—In The Rain, In The Wind, or When Your With That Special Someone.
WKRP in Cincinnati was one of my favorite shows, back in the days when the networks made sitcoms that didn’t suck. WKRP is a lot like a British sitcom, in that it had a cast of regular characters who did pretty much the same thing every week.
Among the running gags was Herb trying to hook up with Jennifer-a woman he has zero chance of ever winning. My favorite WRKP Herb and Jennifer exchange went something like this:
Herb:So Jennipo, where have you been all my life?
Jennifer: Out with other men, Herb, letting them have thier way with me.
The WKRP Turkley Drop, with the dimwitted Mr Carlson tossing live turkeys out of a helicopter onto shoppers at an outdoor shopping mall was one of the funniest things I have ever seen. Almost all the shows were good, and I am ashame to admit that I even watched the thankfully short lived sequel, The New WKRP in Cincinnati. But the orginal show was the best. There’s just something about a bunch of losers running a radio station that was really funny.
